Intellect Tree Celastrus paniculatus

Intellect Tree, as it's commonly called, is becoming more and more popular today. It has a history of use in Indian Unani, and Ayurvedic medicine. The oil is the most prized part of the plant. There have been some studies on the effectiveness of this species, and the results are promising.

It gets the nickname "Intellect Tree" because of its reputation to have powerful brain stimulating properties. It has been believed to enhance memory. I personally use it to stimulate my recollection of dreams. I find it more useful than Ginkgo Biloba for memory and cognition. Some even believe it to be an oneirogen, and I agree.

I use around 5 drops of the oil per day. The oil is very potent and should not be used in excess because that would be a waste. It has a rather pungent smell compared to most herbs but it is tolerable. I think it goes well in a glass of green tea. This also helps to alter the taste making it more subtle.
