Kratom is a tree closely related to Coffee. It's a powerful natural stimulant, much like coffee, as well as a sedative in larger doses or specific strains[varieties]. You can find references on this herb all throughout the site, from academic sources, and scholarly organizations such as MAPS. It's sort of confusing actually. According to growers and enthusiast all over South Eastern Asia, when harvested from certain regions, or when harvested either early, or late, the effects can be polar opposite, ranging from extreme energy inducing, to rather quickly brought on sleep or tiredness. This is similar to Cannabis from what I've read in the scholarly journals. A typical dose of good product from my experience is 2-4 grams depending on the user, or 1-4. depending on your cautious nature.. From experience, I can tell you it's best to start small as you can always take more, but you can not undo what you have already done. Use common sense and talk with a doctor prior to use, and be wearing about what you read online, where you get it, and what you take it with. I suggest not mixing it with anything else.

The powdered leaf, or encapsuled leaf is named after where it was cultivated, and at what time and what color the veins of leaves were when it was picked ( harvested ). From there, it's dried, powdered, and packaged for shipment around the world. I've spoke with suppliers all over its native habitat and I can tell you that Indonesia leads the way for being the worlds largest manufacturer and supplier. There has been a problem with shipments being seized on occasion in the past. People are making the switch to domestic buying to avoid issues with customs ( even tho it's legal ). There are occasionally new regulations going up in certain states but they are not necessarily bans. Now if you're interested in learning more about how to grow kratom you can here, and even discover which strain of Mitragyna speciosa you should grow. See what you can learn on this page first as I've included the basics! The American Kratom Association and citizens of our great country have defended and protected the legality of this tree.

. The leaf contains a naturally occurring compound known as Mitragynine, named after the scientific name of the plant, "Mitragynia speciosa". Again, I ask of you to see my sources to prove legitimacy of these claims. It has been consumed recreationally by locals around the globe for many life times. Today, this medicine ( according to herbalists ), and "entheogen" even, has recently grown in popularity in the United States, Canada, and other countries. The plant naturally contains constituents that effect opioid receptors and the human adrenal system found in each and every one of our human bodies. This is according to studies conducted by phytochemical researchers.

How To Grow Your Own Kratom Plants

All you need is one cutting and you can turn it into as many as you wish. Just let them mature a bit and branch out. With a clean knife, cut a healthy branch and place it in moist soil. Keep it in a window seal for a week or two until it roots. When your new live clones begin to exhibit noticeable growth, you know they are taking root. Transplant carefully, into rich organic soil with at least 20% perlite added. If you are growing them indoors under little light, they can thrive for months without needing more water. The less light, and the longer the soil stays wet, the longer they will go on their own. They are perfect house plants!

When cultivating Kratom consider the following:

In my lifetime I have watched many educational documentaries. Ethnobotanicals have always been an interest of mine, even as a young child. Over the years, I have learned that all plants require sleep just as we do. If they are deprived of this sleep, they become stressed and eventually die. You can prove this for yourselv by testing this hypothesis. I believe that plants also have memories just as we do. I thnk that if you clip a branch off of your live tree, the plant will remember it months later. When you interact with your babies, you are literally building a relationship with them. In my eyes, this means your crop will view you as either a friend, or foe.

It's important to note that plants are highly evolved. It's my belief that they create chemicals to defend themselves, and chemicals that are beneficial for other life forms. I do believe this can be backed up but I don't have a citation off hand for that. Check Google Scholar. From experience, I can tell you that if you plant different species near each other or in the same pot, they either compete, or look after one another depending on whether or not they are related, or how they take a liking to one another, or not. Different plants exhibit different behaviors. This one in particular, is very useful for human beings in my opinion and the opinions of many others around the world. It's the biggest thing to happen to people sense Mary Jane first gained popularity many ages ago.

There are exceptions in plant behavior depend on what species they are. It's been suggested by some studies that live plants also contain electricity, just as human beings do. It's my belief that they are affected by everything that goes in in their surrounding. Ever heard of people playing classical music for their seedlings? Consider the citation I've included at the bottom of this page regarding plants responding to external stimuli titled "electrochemical interferences". I've also seen on a documentary a study where they found a plant could detect its grower thinking of clipping a leaf, etc. If you want to be successful in cultivating a garden, you must consider these valuable lessons. I can tell you from experience that a plant that has memories of abuse, bad vibes, or any negative influences will suffer. Just remember, they are alive and very responsive to both the environment and your behavior around them. Butchering your babies by constantly clipping them, pruning, etc, will stunt their growth from what I've noticed.

Kratom plants and clones love water, sunshine, and thrive in tropical climates. Just don't OVERWATER them as that's a number one killer of any herb, tree, or botanical. No special gardening knowledge is required. All you need is some good, rich, dark, fluffy organic dirt, that drains well, sunshine, water, love and patience. The more attention you give them, the happier they will be. Don't neglect them as they will need attention. They do better indoors on or near a window seal IF that's where they came from. These trees are so tough that they can actually die all the way and come back to life. You can literally grow them from a dead branch. Don't fear, your Kratom plant will come back to life eventually in the event that it dies!
