Proceed with caution. These extracts are not to be confused with "designer drugs" or synthetic laced futuristic drugs either. These botanicals are of pharmacological interest, as well as ethnobotanical interest. They are sold for scientific, cultural, and ethnopharmacological research only. Some of them are getting harder and harder to find in the US... Government sabotage ruined one of the states biggest suppliers for some of these rare gems.. Not all shops even stock such under-ground yet important plants..
Extracts are, well they are extracts. They consist of ingredients located and concentrated inside organic plant matter. These chemicals are what give the plants their properties, whether they are medicinal properties, psychoactive properties, or other properties. Extracts on this page are created using harmless, organic methods. No harsh chemicals or additives exist within these extracts. Many people prefer extracts over tea's, decoctions, or even tinctures.
Woah... Be careful! Amanita Muscaria has been used by trained Shamans! These people live their entire lives learning what to do and what not to do. They know what too much is and how to use such plants and mushrooms. If you don't know what you're doing with this extract, you may have a really bad time!
The Lotus family is one of my personal favorites. The effects are tranquilizing, sedative, and soothing to the minds eye. Bhuddist swear by the lotus for meditation practice and many use it at night before sleep. Of course, it's not something you want to consume on a daily basis. Over-doing anything takes the fun out of it.
Cowage is awesome but Bouncing Bear Botanicals no longer sells the extract that I know of. They might though because things change with them. It's scientific name is Mucuna pruriens and its even been used for Parkinsons disease. It contains serotonin, nicotine, the precursor to dopamine which is l-dopa or lev-dopa. It's great stuff and is also used in certain Ayahuasca preparations..
Elephant head is similiar to Indian Warrior. It's a plant that produces buds ( simliar to cannabis yet not to be confused with "spice" and all that b.s. ). The plant has been a favorite among Native Americans for it's naurcotic-like effects. Use caution. :)
Kanna is an SSRI so use caution. It's been reported to expand consciousness, relieve anxiety, stress, and depression. I love it. It brings me an intense senes of over-all greatness. Kanna tends to quickly elevate your mood, and then immediately sedate you following the peak. I find it useful for insomnia. Know that it should not be combined with anything without thorough research first for precautionary reasons..
SCHWING!! Maca root is an aphrodisiac for both men and women. What's an aphrodisiac? It's something that stimulates sexuality and its corresponding body parts. Yezir & Yez'mam! Have fun and use caution as well. Talk to the doc first and make sure you don't mix it with anything that's unsafe.
This is a very potent extract indeed. The name hints its use, Prickly Poppy, being an alternative to the standard opium poppy. I have noticed great effectivness with pain from this extract. Always remain cautious with plants and extracts.
Ever heard of a plant used for fighting drug addiction? Naturally occuring chemicals in this plant make it valuable for the treatment of drug addiction according to alternative healers. It's very closely related to Iboga, if you're familiar with that. Iboga is another drug addiction fighting psychedelic plant. These are all of interest to academic researchers around the globe, including M.A.P.S. It's a very fascinating plant actually and I highly suggest doing further research on it.
Wild Dagga has these awesome bright orange flowers that are mildly intoxicating! How cool is that? They were used by certain tribes and often smoked as a Cannabis alternative. I highly doubt they are anywhere near as good as Cannabis, and they are certainly not to be confused with "spice" and fake designer drug b.s. I highly suggest growing this plant and cultivating and harvesting your very own flowers because they are much more potent that way. It also contains pharmacological constituents which can act as anti-histamines.
Although it has many uses among mystics, I find this plant to be one of the most effective pesticides for plants. It keeps worms off, and other critters that seek to destroy your crops. The extract works great mixed with alcohol, and mostly water. Spray on your plants as needed. It contains thujone which has been rumored to be very simliar to THC. It's also used in the psychoactive drink known as Absinthe. It's psychoactive potential is considered more mysterious than blount.
