This website is best viewed turned side ways on a mobile device. Eventually I will have both mobile and desktop friendly versions available and an auto-detect/redirect feature programmed within the source code. Bare with me. I'm always working on Botanical Guides. I strive for original content and intend to always run the largest and best holistic/ethnobotanical resource and vendor/product review website on the entire internet. I do my best to have pages on the first page of google and tell it like it is, while including citations.
Kudos to the American Kratom Association and the rest of the freedom fighters within the states and around the world for continuing to win the legal battle to keep Kratom legal. As always we have live kratom plants for sale. to help preserve the legacy of this amazing herbal medicine. The FDA and DEA and other political forces including the big drug companies have continued to fail at their attempts to destroy, discredit, and ban Mitragyna speciosa. Stay involved and keep fighting for the cause. Be sure to subscribe to the Botanical Guides newsletter
This website is dedicated to medicinal, psychoactive, and otherwise useful plants, aka Ethnobotanicals. It touches base on ethnobotany AND at times, briefly explains the importance of its relationship with phytochemistry, pharmacology, psychology, psychonautics, oneironautics, and others, and talks about the history and lore of these botanicals. Ethnobotany is the study of the relationship that humans beings have with plants. It embraces all aspects of the cultural use of plants. From the use of plants in spiritual or religious context, to using herbs as medicine, or for construction and dye, these facts are all studied under the field of
Some of the articles that I write may seem off topic, but I really like to show the vital connection that various fields of interest have with one another. For example, Ethnobotany and Meteorology may seem unrelated when given little thought. If we take the time to think about it though, weather and botanicals are directly connected to one another. The same is so with pharmacology and botany because a wide number of herbs produce
chemicals of such pharmacological importance that without them, any attempt to practice "making medicine" would result in poor and often fatal results.
With this in mind please note that some articles may be off the main topic of botanicals from time to time, yet I always find a way to show the fascinating link between multiple topics. Discussions on such interest are still a major interest to people who are interested in the use of plants as spiritual catalyst, medicine, etc. Such topics may include Oneirogens and lucid dreaming, phytochemicals and various forms of natural healing practices like shamanic journeying, discussions on consciousness, psychedelics, psychology,
color therapy, anything and everything cool, the cultivation of plants, genetics and heirlooms, freedom, history, society, and more.
