This list will be updated in time. It will eventually be the ultimate resource documenting herbs and their pharmcological mechanisms.
Plant Phytochemicals
This is a ever growing list of phytochemicals that plants produce. Many of these herbs produce the same exactly constituent(s). It seems as if specific plants tend to specialize in certain chemical creations. The scientific names for these chemicals tend to be based off the name of the actual species. Enjoy the information and expect this list to grow in time. It's a lot of work to maintain this website so please consider that. Any purchases made through the links and ads on this site helps support Botanical Guides financially. Thanks! (#_#)

The truth is that nature is the only source of real medicine. This page is intended to help people find and learn about the medicinal and psychoactive plants they desire, as well as the phytochemical constituents that they produce, and how they effect our biological circuitry. It's a great resource, and an excellent way to browse plants by their phytochemical constituent content.
You'll learn things here that you never knew before. The information on this page is ever growing. Remember that plants contain multiple constituents, and each one generally has its own arsenal of medicinal and/or psychoactive properties. To learn about a specific chemical, click on its title. If you can't click it, the page has not been added yet. Please note that certain phytochemicals are soluble in water, while others are in alcohol. This is why herbalist prepare various plant based medicines in different ways. Note that if it's soluble in water, than it is soluble in alcohol. It's not always the other way around though. I first started on this page on August 12, 2016. Please check back for updates. :)
If you prefer a list of plants and the constituents they contain then you can click the link in this sentence.(coming soon) Note: Use the "find" feature on your webrowser to search the page for a specific phytochemical that you have in mind.
